How this valuation is worked out

Vending and ATM routes are priced at roughly 2 to 3.5 times seller's discretionary earnings. Buyers cross-check the number against revenue per machine and look hard at whether location agreements transfer.

A worked example

A 35-machine route with $260K of revenue and $95K of SDE, 28 machines with card readers and 20 locations on signed agreements. At about 2.5× that is roughly $238K.

Multiple ranges reviewed September 2026, based on offers buyers in our network are making today. They are a guide, not a quote — see how the process works.

What moves your number

  • Written location agreements with assignment clauses
  • Machine age and card reader coverage
  • Route density and hours required to service it
  • Commission rates paid to locations

Common questions

What multiple do vending routes sell for?

Roughly 2 to 3.5 times SDE, with documented, transferable location agreements at the top of that range.

Is there a per-machine value?

No fixed one. Buyers look at what each machine actually earns and how secure the placement is.

Do card readers matter?

Yes. Machines without them usually mean the buyer prices in a cashless upgrade soon after closing.
