What we collect

When you use a calculator we collect the figures you enter about your business — revenue, profit, commission, assets under management, retention, staff numbers, tenure and any notes you add.

If you ask for offers, we also collect your name, email address, phone number, business name and location.

We record which page of this site your valuation came from, along with standard technical data such as your browser type and approximate location, so we can see which pages are useful.

How we use it

To produce your valuation range and the explanation that goes with it.

To contact you about your valuation and any offers.

To prepare an anonymised summary of your business — category, geography and financial profile — for buyers who are active in your category.

To improve the calculators and understand which pages people find helpful.

Who we share it with

Buyers we approach on your behalf, and only after you have asked for offers. They see the profile of the business first; your name and contact details are only shared once you agree to talk to a specific buyer.

Service providers who run this site on our behalf, such as our hosting, database and email providers, and the AI provider that helps generate the written rationale for your range. They may only process the data to provide that service.

We do not sell your information, and we do not list your business publicly.

How long we keep it

We keep valuation and contact records for as long as needed to work on your enquiry and to meet our record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete your record at any time.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@businessvaluecalculators.com and we will action it.

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in the email, or by replying to ask.

Cookies

We use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep the site working and to keep you signed in if you have a team account. We do not use advertising cookies.

Security

Your data is stored with an encrypted, access-controlled database provider. Access is limited to the people who work on your enquiry. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share.
