How this valuation is worked out
Tire and collision shops are priced on owner earnings or adjusted profit. Tires themselves earn thin margins, so service, alignment and repair work drive the value on the tire side; on the collision side, insurer repair program relationships, certifications and technician retention drive it. Property and saleable inventory are handled as separate lines.
A worked example
A collision shop with $2.4M of revenue and $340K of adjusted earnings, two insurer repair programs and long-tenured technicians. At 3.25× that is roughly $1.1M, with the property valued separately if it is owned.
Multiple ranges reviewed September 2026, based on offers buyers in our network are making today. They are a guide, not a quote — see how the process works.

Common questions
Is my tire inventory added on top?
Saleable inventory is usually added at cost, with aged or odd sizes discounted or excluded.
Do insurer relationships transfer?
Not automatically. Buyers check whether programs continue under new ownership, and price the risk if they might not.
How is this different from a general repair shop?
Collision and tire retail have their own economics. For general mechanical work, see our auto repair shop guide and calculator instead.
