How this valuation is worked out
Routes are priced on earnings, commonly around 2 to 3.5 times, with the machines themselves acting as a floor. Buyers care most about how long your location agreements run and whether they transfer with the route.
A worked example
A route of 42 ATMs averaging $340 a month of surcharge income, so about $171K a year, with $96K of seller's discretionary earnings after a part-time driver. At 2.75× that is roughly $264K, with vault cash settled separately at closing.
Multiple ranges reviewed September 2026, based on offers buyers in our network are making today. They are a guide, not a quote — see how the process works.
What moves your number
- Location agreements — length, exclusivity and whether they assign to a buyer
- Transaction counts and surcharge income per machine, month by month
- Route density, because driving time is the main cost
- Machine age, cashless readers and any compliance upgrades still due

Common questions
Are the machines included in the price?
Yes. They produce the earnings, and their value acts as a floor if the earnings multiple lands lower.
What about vault cash in my ATMs?
Cash loaded in the machines is normally settled separately at closing, like inventory.
Why do location contracts matter so much?
A route is really a bundle of placements. If a location can move to a competitor next month, a buyer is not buying much.
